Ingredients

  • 400 ml Coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger (Finely chopped)
  • 2 Garlic (Cloves, minced)
  • 1 tsp Thai red curry paste (Use 1 tbsp if you like very spicy dishes)
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Peanut butter
  • 2 Fresh spinach (Two large handfuls)
  • 12 Frozen gyoza (The creator indicates that they used chicken gyoza)
  • Chili flakes (Optional topping, to add after baking)
  • Sesame seeds (Optional topping, to add after baking)
  • Spring onions (Optional topping)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 190 °C. Prepare a baking dish large enough to hold the gyoza in a single layer.

  2. 2

Pour the coconut milk into the dish. Add the finely chopped fresh ginger, minced garlic, Thai red curry paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, and peanut butter.

  3. 3

Mix thoroughly directly in the dish until the sauce is as smooth as possible and the aromatics and seasonings are evenly distributed.

  4. 4

Add the two large handfuls of fresh spinach to the sauce and stir to incorporate.

  5. 5

Arrange the 12 frozen gyoza in the dish on top of the sauce and spinach.

  6. 6

Bake at 190 °C for 20 to 25 minutes, until the gyoza are cooked through and piping hot.

  7. 7

When removed from the oven, optionally sprinkle with chili flakes and sesame seeds. Add spring onions as desired.

  8. 8

Serve immediately. For a more complete meal, serve the gyoza with rice or noodles.

Notes

The gyoza can be chicken, as in the video. The topping quantities are not specified in the source. The exact preparation time is not indicated; it is estimated at approximately 10 minutes.
