Ingredients

  • 400 g Cottage cheese
  • 325 g Quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 3.5 Eggs (3–4 eggs)
  • 2 ts Baking powder
  • 0.5 ts Salt
  • 1 ts Oregano
  • 100 g Milk
  • 0.333 Leek (1/3 leek; can be replaced with spring onions)
  • 1 pk Cooked ham (Package size not specified)
  • 100 g Grated cheese
  • Maldon salt (For sprinkling over)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 200 °C using conventional top and bottom heat, as stated in the recipe text in the video.

  2. 2

Cut the cooked ham into pieces.

  3. 3

    Finely chop the leek.

  4. 4

Place the cottage cheese, rolled oats, eggs, baking powder, salt, oregano, and milk in a bowl. Mix by hand or with a stand mixer until the ingredients are combined.

  5. 5

Add the ham, leek, and grated cheese. Gently fold the filling into the mixture.

  6. 6

Wet your hands with water and shape 10–12 evenly sized rolls. Press them slightly flat.

  7. 7

Sprinkle Maldon salt over the rolls.

  8. 8

Bake in the center of the oven at 200 °C for approximately 25 minutes.

  9. 9

Cool the rolls on a wire rack, or enjoy them freshly baked. They can be served with fruit or vegetables.

  10. 10

Store them in the refrigerator for up to five days, or freeze them. Reheat before serving if desired; the source mentions approximately one minute in a toaster.

Notes

The recipe states that leek can be replaced with spring onions. The video also mentions sun-dried tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella as an alternative filling. The size of the ham package is not specified, so the quantity in grams cannot be determined. The video states that the rolls keep for five days in the refrigerator, can be frozen, and can be reheated in a toaster. Serve with fruit or vegetables.
