Ingredients

  • 18 small ripe strawberries (The source specifies 18–20 strawberries.)
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar (Use 1/2 cup or up to 1 cup total, adjusting to taste. Use 1/4 cup in the blender and add the remaining sugar to the pitcher.)
  • 6 cup water (The source specifies 6–7 cups total. Use 1/2 cup for blending and the remainder in the pitcher.)
  • 1.25 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Himalayan sea salt
  • ice (For serving.)

Steps

  1. 1

Add the strawberries, 1/4 cup of the sugar, and 1/2 cup of the water to a blender.

  2. 2

Blend until the strawberry mixture is completely smooth.

  3. 3

For a smoother texture, optionally strain the strawberry purée through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the seeds.

  4. 4

Pour the strawberry purée into a large pitcher.

  5. 5

Add the fresh lemon juice, the remaining sugar, the Himalayan sea salt, and the remaining water to the pitcher.

  6. 6

Stir well until all of the ingredients are fully combined.

  7. 7

Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  8. 8

Serve the chilled strawberry lemonade over ice.

Notes

Sugar may be adjusted between 1/2 cup and 1 cup according to desired sweetness. Water may be adjusted between 6 and 7 cups. Straining is optional and removes strawberry seeds.
