Ingredients
- 2 lb Beef, preferably sirloin (Thinly sliced)
- 1 tsp Spanglish Asadero Garlic Salt seasoning
- 1 tsp Low-sodium soy sauce (For seasoning the beef)
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch (For coating the beef)
- Oil (A little, for cooking)
- 2 cloves Garlic (Finely chopped)
- Fresh ginger (A small piece, finely chopped)
- Broccoli (To taste)
- 3 tbsp Low-sodium soy sauce (For the sauce)
- 1 tsp Dark soy sauce (For the sauce)
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch (For the sauce)
- 0.5 tbsp Brown sugar (For the sauce)
- 1 tbsp Chicken broth or water (For the sauce; use either chicken broth or water)
Steps
- 1
Place the thinly sliced beef in a bowl. Add the garlic salt seasoning, 1 teaspoon of low-sodium soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Mix thoroughly until the beef is evenly coated.
- 2
Heat a little oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- 3
Add the coated beef to the hot skillet, followed by the chopped garlic and ginger.

Stir the beef, garlic, and ginger together. Cover the skillet and cook until the beef starts to brown.

Meanwhile, prepare the sauce in a bowl. Combine the 3 tablespoons of low-sodium soy sauce, dark soy sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, and chicken broth or water. Mix very well until smooth.
- 6
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the broccoli and cook for just 1 minute.
- 7
Remove the broccoli from the boiling water and set it aside.
- 8
Once the beef has started to brown, add the blanched broccoli to the skillet.
- 9
Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet.
- 10
Stir everything together and cook until the sauce begins to bubble and thicken.
- 11
Serve immediately.
