Ingredients

  • 0.5 oz Strawberry syrup (for the bottom layer)
  • 0.5 oz Vodka
  • 0.5 oz Tequila
  • 0.5 oz Gin
  • 0.5 oz Coconut rum
  • 0.5 oz Blue Curaçao
  • 1 oz Cream of coconut (such as Coco Lopez)
  • 2 oz Pineapple juice
  • Ice (for shaker and glass)

Steps

  1. 1

Pour the strawberry syrup into the bottom of a tall glass (highball or hurricane glass).

  2. 2

Fill the glass with ice cubes, being careful not to disturb the syrup layer too much.

  3. 3

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the vodka, tequila, gin, coconut rum, and blue curaçao.

  4. 4

Add the cream of coconut and pineapple juice to the shaker.

  5. 5

Shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds until well-chilled and the cream of coconut is fully integrated.

  6. 6

Slowly strain the mixture over the ice in the prepared glass. The blue mixture should sit on top of the red syrup, creating a layered sunrise effect.

  7. 7

Garnish with a pineapple wedge or a maraschino cherry if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

To achieve the best layered effect, pour the blue mixture slowly over the back of a spoon. The cream of coconut adds a rich, opaque texture that helps define the layers.
