Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
SeeMeCook ("we", "our", "the app") is operated by Crescent Mission LLC. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Some content in SeeMeCook is public — please read "Public Content and Sharing" below to understand what others can see.
Information We Collect
- Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo.
- Recipe data: Recipes you import, including URLs, photos, and extracted content, are stored on our servers.
- Preference data: Preferences you set in the app — such as your language, favorite cuisines, and dietary preferences — which help personalize your recommendations and format recipe text.
- Public activity: Cook photos, comments, and star ratings you choose to post are stored on our servers and are visible to other users, as described under "Public Content and Sharing".
- Analytics data: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as app opens, screen views, and crash reports.
- Subscription data: Purchase history and subscription status are managed through Apple's App Store.
Public Content and Sharing
Some content in SeeMeCook is public. This section explains what, so there are no surprises.
- Recipes from public sources are published automatically. When you import a recipe from a public web page, a social-media link, or by sharing a link into the app, that recipe is added to our public Explore feed and given a public web page on seemecook.app that anyone can view — including people without a SeeMeCook account. It is shown credited to you, with your display name and profile photo.
- What others can see. On public content: your display name, your profile photo, the recipe and its cover image, and any cook photos, comments, or star ratings you choose to post publicly.
- What stays private. Recipes you photograph, upload as a file, write, or otherwise create yourself in the app are private and are not published unless you choose to share them. Your favorites, your saved ingredient scaling, and translations you generate for your own use are kept private and are not shown on a recipe's public copy.
- Recipes you share yourself. A private recipe you choose to share to Explore can be unshared again from within the app, which removes it from the public feed.
- Removing public content. You can delete a recipe from your library at any time. If you would like a public recipe page, Explore listing, comment, or rating removed — or your name and photo taken off it — contact us at talal+seemecooksupport@crescentmission.com and we will remove it.
- Search engines. Public recipe pages may be indexed by search engines such as Google.

Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform servers in the United States. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and Firebase Authentication.
International Users
SeeMeCook is operated from the United States, and your information is stored and processed there. If you use the app from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Your Rights
- Export: You can export your recipes from the Settings screen.
- Deletion: You can delete your account from Settings at any time. When you do, we permanently remove your account profile, your recipe library, your saved preferences, your cooking history, your import and usage logs, and the files you have uploaded, and we delete your sign-in identity so the account cannot be restored. This cannot be undone. Recipes you imported from public sources remain in the public Explore feed, but are permanently disconnected from you: your name, profile photo, and the link to your account are removed, and they are credited to their original source. Comments and cook photos you posted publicly also remain, with your name and photo removed. If you would like any of that content removed entirely, contact us at talal+seemecooksupport@crescentmission.com and we will remove it.
- Access: Contact us to request a copy of your personal data.
Children's Privacy
SeeMeCook is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email.
